Panic erupted on a London Underground train at Clapham Common station on Friday as passengers smashed windows to flee a carriage filled with smoke. Witnesses described scenes of chaos as people scrambled to escape the confined space.
Transport for London (TfL) confirmed that the London Fire Brigade attended the incident but found no fire on board. TfL said it is now investigating the cause of the smoke, which prompted the emergency response.
British Transport Police reported that there were no injuries and that the incident has been resolved. Officers are working with TfL to determine what led to the smoke-filled carriage.
