Around 40 passengers are thought to be trapped inside a derailed train near Lewes railway station, causing major disruption to rail services in the area.
Incident closes all lines
All lines between Lewes and Haywards Heath are closed, and trains are currently unable to run to allow emergency services to attend the incident. The derailment occurred at 3.54pm on Thursday 13 August.
British Transport Police officers are on scene near Lewes railway station, alongside paramedics and the fire service.

Major disruption to the railway line is expected to remain until 10pm.
