Three Major Tube Lines Closed This Weekend as Wimbledon and World Cup Fever Grips London
Three Major Tube Lines Closed This Weekend in London

The Piccadilly, District, and Metropolitan lines will all face partial closures this weekend, impacting thousands of Londoners travelling to watch England in the World Cup, attend Wimbledon, or enjoy the final weekend of the British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park. The record heatwave is also causing speed restrictions on some services due to high track temperatures.

Piccadilly Line

There is no service on the Piccadilly line between Hammersmith and Heathrow/Uxbridge. Passengers heading to Heathrow Airport are advised to use the Elizabeth line or Heathrow Express from Paddington.

District Line

The District line will not run between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway. A rail replacement bus service is in operation for this section.
