A business jet crashed onto a highway in Laredo, Texas, on Tuesday night, leaving one person dead and five others hospitalized. The aircraft, a Cessna Citation Latitude twin jet, went down on Loop 20 shortly after 10 p.m., according to the Laredo Police Department.

Investigator Jose Baeza confirmed the plane had six people on board. It remains unclear if the deceased was a passenger or someone on the ground. Five police officers were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
