Among the top recommendations is Skansen, an open-air museum that doubles as a zoo, offering a glimpse into Sweden's history. The Vasa Museum, home to the world's only preserved 17th-century ship, features a children's trail, while the Junibacken Museum immerses kids in the stories of Astrid Lindgren, creator of Pippi Longstocking. The mum also noted Stockholm's metro stations, known for their art, as a free attraction.
Beyond paid activities, the city's playgrounds, such as Vasa Park, are described as 'another level' compared to those in the UK, with bikes and play accessories provided. The food scene is also praised, with kid-friendly options like meatballs and mashed potato, along with the tradition of fika.
