Customers can visit the Royal Mail website and click on 'Deliveries Today'. For the date of September 30, the delivery company said it was “sorry for any inconvenience” and thanked customers for their “understanding.”

Why delays happen and how Royal Mail responds
Royal Mail explains that it aims to deliver mail to all addresses six days a week. However, a small number of local offices cannot do this because of issues like staff sickness or shortages.
When that happens, it says it rotates deliveries to reduce delays for customers. It also sends extra support to help those offices fix the problems and return to normal service.
No collection or deliveries - full list of dates
Royal Mail also reminds customers that there will be no collections or deliveries on certain dates. It says: “We deliver and collect your mail on most days of the year, including Saturdays.”
“However, we don’t usually deliver or collect on public or local holidays.” It adds that local holidays are subject to change.
