Ryanair Launches Summer 2026 Schedule from East Midlands with Fares from £29.99

Ryanair has unveiled its summer 2026 schedule from East Midlands Airport, featuring 33 routes with fares starting at £29.99. The budget airline will increase frequencies on nine popular routes, including Alicante, Malta, Rhodes, and Wrocław, offering more choice for holidaymakers.

Destinations such as Corfu, Lanzarote, and Palma de Mallorca are among the options available. Jade Kirwan, Ryanair's director of communications, said the schedule provides 'even more low-fare choice and regular connections for their Summer 2026 getaways'. Tickets can be booked via the Ryanair App.

The announcement follows Jet2's expansion of its summer 2026 programme to Greece, adding nearly 30,000 extra seats from UK airports to Crete (Chania and Heraklion), Kos, and Santorini. Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said the move cements the airline's position as the 'UK's largest operator to Greece'.

In related news, Ryanair transitioned to a fully digital boarding pass system in November 2025, eliminating paper tickets at most airports. Passengers must check in online to receive a digital boarding pass via the app, which Ryanair says is 'quicker, easier' and reduces paper waste by 300 tonnes annually.
