Residents in one area of Wales have been informed that they may experience delays in receiving their post after a fire broke out near a Royal Mail delivery office.
Fire crews were called to reports of a fire at a unit on Cambrian Industrial Park, Clydach Vale, Tonypandy, neighbouring the postal services' site.
Fire crews attend industrial estate blaze
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the two-storey industrial estate at around 7.31am on Tuesday, September 29 morning. One vehicle inside the property was fully destroyed by fire.
Crews and appliances from Tonypandy, Treorchy and Ferndale attended the incident and a STOP message was received at around 10.55am.
Royal Mail confirms disruption
A spokesperson for Royal Mail has confirmed that it expects "some disruption over the coming days" in the Mid Rhondda.
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: "A fire at a neighbouring unit has affected operations at our delivery office this morning."
"We are continuing to make deliveries where possible, and are putting contingency arrangements in place from a neighbouring Delivery Office. We expect some disruption over the coming days and are working to restore normal operations as quickly as possible."
Climbing centre closes for two days
FuZe Play and Climbing Centre, based in the Cambrian Industrial Park, has had to close for two days due to the fire.
