Collision Details
The liveried Skoda Scala police vehicle struck the corner of a Stockport-bound 358 bus, near the passenger door. Images from the scene show the front of the police car damaged against the bus. Two additional GMP cars were present to manage the aftermath.
A GMP spokesperson confirmed the officer was responding to an emergency call at the time of the crash. No injuries have been reported, according to the force.
Traffic Impact
The collision blocked the junction, leading to queues building up on Marple Road while officers assessed the situation. Traffic was disrupted for a period before the vehicles were removed from the scene.
Transport for Greater Manchester has been approached for further details on the incident. The Bee Network bus service may have experienced delays as a result.
