The Mirror has partnered with Northern Trains to offer discounted unlimited day and weekend travel on the Northern network. The Hop On Hop Off train ticket is available for purchase between April 20 and July 16, 2026, with a special promotion for readers of the North edition of the Mirror.
To take advantage of the offer, readers must collect two print tokens from the North edition of the Mirror published between Monday, April 20 and Sunday, April 26, 2026. They then need to download a registration form from the Northern website and present both tokens and the completed form at any staffed ticket office on the Northern network to redeem the tickets.
The Day Ranger ticket costs £12 per adult, while the Weekend Rover ticket is £20 per adult. Children aged 5–15 travel at half price, making it a cost-effective option for families. Tickets are valid for travel on Northern services only, with no direct route available between Newcastle and York.
Travel windows are from April 20 to July 16, 2026, for Day Ranger tickets, and from April 25 to July 12, 2026, for Weekend Rover tickets. On weekdays, travel is permitted from 0845 onwards, while weekend travel is allowed anytime. Full terms and conditions are available at northernrailway.co.uk/tickets/newspaper-offer.
