Next UK Bank Holiday 2026: Christmas Day and Full 2027 Dates

After the August bank holiday weekend, the next official day off in England and Wales will not arrive until Christmas Day on Friday, December 25, 2026. This means a wait of almost four months without a bank holiday in September, October or November.

August 31 marks the summer bank holiday, the last one before the festive season. Many people use the extended weekend to meet family and friends or enjoy a final day out as summer ends.
