New Speed Limits on Busy Welsh M4 Link Road to Last 18 Months
New Speed Limits on Welsh M4 Link Road for 18 Months

Motorists will face new speed restrictions on the A483 trunk road between Pont Abraham and Llandeilo as essential roadworks take place. Welsh Ministers ordered the work under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, setting out the modifications.

Temporary Speed Limits

Speed limits will be temporarily reduced to 50mph, 40mph, or 10mph, varying according to the section of road as specified in the notice. In particular sections, a 10mph restriction will be implemented during convoy operations, where overtaking will be prohibited.

Duration and Enforcement

This order takes effect from Monday, June 15, with the restrictions and overtaking ban operating periodically from that date and potentially continuing for up to 18 months. The temporary measures are designed to ensure safety during the roadworks period.
