Train traffic across large parts of the Netherlands has been brought to a standstill after materials were discovered on the tracks at multiple locations, in what is being treated as a suspected act of sabotage.
Widespread shutdown after materials found
Railway infrastructure manager ProRail said the materials were found at several points on the rail network, prompting a widespread suspension of train services across the country.
The disruption has affected multiple hubs, including Utrecht Station, one of the busiest junctions in the Dutch rail system.
