Road Closures for Blaydon Race
Road closures will begin from 3pm around the Newcastle Quayside and the A695 Scotswood Road for this year's Blaydon Race. Some roads will remain closed until 10pm.
Take That Concert Restrictions
Meanwhile, traffic restrictions will be in place throughout the day around Sunderland's Stadium of Light due to the Take That concert this evening. Commuters are being warned that routes heading in and out of Sunderland are likely to be extremely busy.
