Monklands road closures: September works and diversions revealed

A series of road closures in Monklands next month have been unveiled, with travel set to be impacted. The works will include carriageway patching and an iron mains replacement.

Dunavon Place and Southfield Crescent closures

Dunavon Place, Coatbridge, will be closed for two days from September 9 to allow for carriageway patching. The affected area will be between the junction of Laxford Place and its termination, with no alternative routes available to motorists.

Carriageway repairs will result in a five-day closure of Southfield Crescent in Coatbridge from September 14, from its junction with the B753 Calder Street to the junction of Sikeside Street. The latter two roads will act as diverted routes for drivers.

Finally, iron mains replacement works by IGN will see the B753 Dundyvan Road, Coatbridge (eastbound closure only) shut between Brown Street and the A725 Whifflet Street. Diverted routes will include the A89 Bank Street and South Circular Road and the A725 Coatbank Street.
