Commuters have been warned to expect cancellations, delays, and diversions after the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon (June 11).
Details of the Incident
The collapse took place between Nuneaton and Rugby, forcing trains from Manchester to London to be diverted via Birmingham. The disruption is expected to last throughout the day.
National Rail stated: "A bridge having partially collapsed between Nuneaton and Rugby means that all lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted via Birmingham."
