Tram Network Disruption

Extensive repair work began this week, meaning no trams run through the city centre. The Altrincham, Eccles, and Trafford Park lines are suspended, while the East Didsbury and Airport lines terminate at Firswood. Bus replacement services are in place. Trams operate between Exchange Square and Rochdale, Bury and Piccadilly, and Piccadilly and Ashton-under-Lyne.

Liquid Rules and Hand Luggage Reminder

Passengers are reminded that the 100ml limit on liquids in hand luggage remains in force, despite new CT security scanners. Parents should watch for children's 'squishy' toys, which can be classified as liquids and should be packed in hold luggage to avoid confiscation, according to Manchester Airport.
