Summer is one of the busiest periods at Manchester Airport, with holidaymakers seeking beach escapes and city breaks. The European Union has rolled out the Entry/Exit System, requiring Brits to provide fingerprints and photographs at the EU border. Airlines urge passengers to allow extra time for these checks. Additionally, Ryanair now allows families to sit together free of charge, with seat allocation after check-in.
