Man in hospital after e-scooter fall in Liscard

A man is in hospital after falling from an e-scooter in Liscard. Emergency services were called to Steel Avenue at around 3.15pm on Tuesday, July 28 following reports of a crash.

Injuries and response

A man aged in his 40s has been taken to hospital with a head injury. A cordon was put in place at the junction with Sheen Road while police dealt with the incident. An air ambulance was also spotted near the scene.

A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "We can confirm emergency services are currently on Steel Avenue, in Liscard, following a collision involving an e-scooter. The incident was reported at around 3.15pm today (Tuesday 28 July) and a man aged in his 40s has been taken to hospital with a head injury."

Appeal for witnesses

A road closure is currently in place. One man, who lives near the cordon, said: "There was a big commotion afterwards, lots of police cars and it looked like two or three ambulances."
