Drivers on the M62 are facing major delays this morning after farm animals got onto the motorway. The westbound carriageway has been shut between junction 23 for Huddersfield and junction 22 for Rishworth Moor.
Delays and congestion
National Highways said just after 9am that motorists should expect around 45 minutes of delays and four miles of congestion on approach. Traffic alert service Inrix reported "fire services activity" underway at the scene.
Police raced to the area to assist with operations.
