Traffic has been stopped on the M6 following a crash near the M61 junction, south of Preston, causing queues on both motorways.
All vehicles held
All vehicles are being held between junctions 31 for the A59 Preston New Road and 30 for the M61, with queues building up southbound. Drivers are also facing delays on the M6 and M61 northbound.
The Inrix traffic monitoring service reported: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M6 in both directions from J30 M61 to J31 A59 Preston New Road. The traffic is held in both directions. Recovery works are in place Southbound, as the central barrier has been hit."
