Drivers on a busy section of the M25 in Essex are facing massive two-hour delays and eight miles of traffic during the morning rush hour. Three lanes are closed anticlockwise between junctions 29 and 28 after a lorry fire last night.
Complex vehicle recovery underway
National Highways said the lanes are closed "while we support a complex vehicle recovery and clear the carriageway". Drivers have been warned there are currently delays of around two hours, with around eight miles of traffic extending towards the Dartford Crossing.
National Highways added: "If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey."
