London Overground & Buses Slash Services: Full List of TfL Cuts This Weekend
London Overground & Bus Cuts: Weekend Travel Chaos

Londoners are facing a weekend of severe travel disruption as Transport for London (TfL) implements significant cuts to both Overground and bus services across the capital.

The sweeping changes, affecting numerous key routes, are due to a combination of planned engineering works and last-minute staff shortages, leaving commuters and weekend travellers scrambling to find alternative arrangements.

Overground Services Grind to a Halt

A substantial portion of the London Overground network will be suspended throughout the weekend. Travellers are urged to avoid the following lines completely:

  • Richmond / Clapham Junction to Stratford
  • Euston to Watford Junction
  • Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside

Additionally, severe disruptions are expected on the line between Highbury & Islington and New Cross / Clapham Junction / Crystal Palace / West Croydon, with a significantly reduced service operating.

Bus Routes Axed Across the Capital

The travel chaos extends to London's famous red buses, with over 20 routes being cancelled or diverted. Key services facing cancellation include:

  • Route 507 (Waterloo to Victoria)
  • Route 521 (Waterloo to London Bridge)
  • Route 332 (Paddington to Brent Park)

Other major routes, such as the 211 (Waterloo to Finsbury Park) and the 460 (Holborn to Paddington), will terminate early, well before the usual midnight service ends.

Plan Ahead, TfL Warns

TfL has issued a stark warning for all passengers to check their journey in real-time before they travel. Using the TfL Go app or website is highly recommended to get the latest status updates on all services.

While the London Underground is largely unaffected this weekend, it is expected to be significantly busier as passengers seek alternative ways to navigate the city. This latest round of cuts highlights the ongoing operational challenges facing the capital's transport network.
