A Loganair flight from Inverness Airport was diverted to Glasgow Airport after declaring a mid-air emergency on Saturday, August 8.

The aircraft, which was due to fly from Inverness to Manchester at 10.45am, performed a U-turn at 30,000ft as it reached Ayr, following the relay of a 7700 emergency code.

Flight path and landing

Flight radars showed the plane turning back and landing at Glasgow Airport at 11.20am. The nature of the incident has not been disclosed.
