Kaleb Cooper swaps plough for burgers in Five Guys video

Kaleb Cooper, the 28-year-old farmer known for his role on Clarkson's Farm, has stepped away from Diddly Squat Farm to try his hand at making burgers for fast-food chain Five Guys. The father recently shared a video of himself in the kitchen, dressed in the chain's red and white uniform, complete with a Five Guys baseball cap and red apron.

In the footage, Cooper pulled on rubber gloves and prepared burgers for himself and his cameraman. He also asked about the origin of the restaurant's name and was told it came from the Murrell family, who founded the company and had five sons.

Joke about his own burger place

During the video, the cameraman asked Cooper what his own burger place would be called. "Six fingers," he replied with a grin, adding: "I'm from Chipping Norton." The joke referenced the fact that everyone knows each other in the town.

A Five Guys worker then showed Cooper how to prepare the burger patties. The video was shared on Cooper's, Five Guys' and Hawkstone lager's Instagram pages.

Promoting British-grown cider

The caption read: "To celebrate the arrival of @cooper_kaleb's British grown and farmed cider - to sit in the fridge alongside our Hawkstone lager @fiveguysuk (where the burgers and fries are also now supporting British farmers) ..Kaleb prepares a delicious freshly made burger .. #backbritishfarmingdrinkhawkstone."

Commenters reacted to the post with jokes and praise. One wrote: "Don't tell me JC has you flipping burgers to make up for the poor harvest?" Another said: "You have to hand it to Clarkson, he knows how to pick out talent, and he brings them along with him rather than wanting to be the centre of attention. Everybody around him succeeds. Well done to Kaleb for taking the opportunity by the horns."

Harvest and season six

The video comes as Cooper, Jeremy Clarkson, Lisa Hogan and the Diddly Squat Farm team work on the harvest, which has been affected by UK heatwaves. Clarkson's Farm season 6 is in production, following a fifth series in which Clarkson, 66, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He later confirmed he had been successfully treated.
