Jet2 has announced that its summer flight schedule will operate as planned, following successful negotiations with fuel suppliers. The British low-cost carrier confirmed on May 20 that increased production and additional imports from regions unaffected by Middle East conflicts have secured sufficient jet fuel for the June, July, and August period.
The airline stated that it continues to look forward to taking customers on their holidays this summer, adding that no extra charges will be applied to booked flights or holidays to cover rising fuel costs. Jet2 also reiterated its commitment to flexibility and swift refunds in the event of any cancellations, building on its reputation earned during the Covid-19 pandemic.
CEO Steve Heapy said: 'We are in regular dialogue with our fuel suppliers, and the current picture is one of increased production and imports, meaning we continue to look ahead with confidence. Our message to holidaymakers is that summer is on.' He encouraged customers to book now, highlighting the value of Jet2's award-winning holidays.
The update follows a recent independent study by aviation data specialist Cirium, which ranked Jet2 as the second most fuel-efficient airline in Europe. The 2025 Flight Emissions Review measured 57.9 grams of CO2 per Available Seat Kilometre (ASK), a 3.1% reduction from the previous year.
