Jet2 has introduced a new charter experience by configuring a Boeing 737 with bespoke business-class-style seating, marking a departure from its typical low-cost model. The British airline, known for affordable European flights and holiday packages, also operates a charter service for private clients.
Premium Charter Service
The Jet2 charter team announced the launch of its first-ever aircraft with a dedicated business-class layout, exclusively for charter passengers. This service is not available on scheduled holiday flights. Available for bookings from October 2026 to May 2027, the Boeing 737 will feature 76 business-class seats, providing a minimum of 43 inches of legroom. In contrast, standard configurations of this aircraft typically accommodate 189 seats, meaning passengers will enjoy more than double the usual space.
Enhanced Comfort and Catering
In addition to improved comfort and personal space, the aircraft will offer upgraded catering tailored to customer preferences. Trevor Caplis, head of charter and airline sales at Jet2, commented: “This is an incredibly exciting development, both for Jet2 and for our charter customers. The bespoke configuration of one of our Boeing 737-800NG aircraft so that it features a dedicated business class specification is a genuine game changer and we expect it to be popular with our sports, music, entertainment and specialist group customers. As a result of this brand-new product, our charter customers can now enjoy all the usual operational and cost-effective benefits of Jet2, but with the added benefit of a premium charter product too.”
The move is expected to attract groups in sports, music, entertainment, and other specialist sectors, offering a blend of Jet2's operational efficiency and a premium travel experience.
