Manchester United have confirmed that Jadon Sancho and five other players will leave the club this month. Sancho, 26, arrived at United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in 2021 and made 83 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. His last game for the Red Devils was the 2024 Community Shield, where he came on as a second-half substitute against Manchester City.
Sancho's Loan Spells
The 23-cap England international spent the latter half of the 2023/24 season back at Dortmund before loan moves to Chelsea for 2024/25 and Aston Villa for 2025/26. Despite attempts to sell Sancho in previous windows, United failed to find a buyer and will now lose him for free when his contract expires at the end of June.
Other Departures
Joining Sancho in leaving United are Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Sonny Aljofree, James Bailey, and Malachi Sharpe. Casemiro announced his departure in January and finished the season strongly under Michael Carrick, helping the team secure a Champions League spot. The Brazilian joined from Real Madrid in 2022, making over 150 appearances and contributing to Carabao Cup and FA Cup wins.
