Manchester United have officially confirmed that Jadon Sancho, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, and three more players will depart the club at the end of this month. The announcement came as the club released its retained list on Wednesday morning.
Sancho's United Exit
Jadon Sancho, 26, joined United from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in 2021. He made 83 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. His final appearance came in the 2024 Community Shield as a second-half substitute against Manchester City. The 23-cap England international spent the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign back at Dortmund, followed by loan spells at Chelsea in 2024/25 and Aston Villa in 2025/26. Despite efforts to secure a transfer fee in previous windows, United will lose him on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.
Casemiro Bids Farewell
Casemiro confirmed his departure in January and finished the season strongly under Michael Carrick, helping secure Champions League football. The Brazilian midfielder joined United from Real Madrid in 2022, becoming a fan favourite with over 150 appearances and winning the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. Some fans hoped he would stay, but both parties agreed to part ways. His final match was the 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest last month. In a heartfelt social media post, Casemiro said: "Manchester will forever be my home. These past four years have been unforgettable. Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day. Forever a Red Devil."
Malacia and Others Leave
Tyrell Malacia endured a difficult four-year spell after a £13 million move from Feyenoord in 2022. He showed promise in his debut season with 39 appearances, but a severe knee injury sidelined him for 18 months. Also departing are academy graduates Sonny Aljofree, James Bailey, and Malachi Sharpe.
