Holidaymakers travelling to Heathrow Airport by train are facing severe disruption this morning, with cancellations and a reduced service in place. The problem has been caused by the closure of a tunnel due to safety concerns, with no Elizabeth line services between Hayes and Harlington and Heathrow Terminals 4 and 5.
Reduced services
Only half of Heathrow Express services will operate, with two trains every hour from London Paddington. The disruption will be in place throughout today, Network Rail has said.
The closure affects key routes to the airport, impacting passengers' travel plans.
