Free Santander Cycles Every Sunday in July 2026: How to Get Your Code

Transport for London (TfL) has announced that Londoners can enjoy free bike hire every Sunday throughout July 2026. The scheme covers both push bikes and e-bikes from the Santander Cycles network, allowing unlimited 60-minute rides on each Sunday of the month.

How to Redeem the Free Ride Offer

To take advantage of the promotion, riders must use a weekly promotional code. These codes can be redeemed in the Santander Cycles app or at any docking station. Users should select a day pass (normally priced at £3.50) and enter the relevant code for that Sunday. A bank card or mobile phone is required to complete the transaction. Rides exceeding 60 minutes incur additional charges: £1.65 per extra hour for pedal bikes and £3 per extra hour for e-bikes.

Only registered members can use the codes, but membership is free and can be completed online or through the app. Each code is valid once per person.

The Mayor and I encourage everyone – especially those new to cycling – to take up these free Sunday bike rides and to use our cycle routes to travel around our great city as we continue building a safer, greener, better London for all.’

David Eddington, head of cycle hire at TfL, added: ‘We want everyone to enjoy the benefits of cycling, which is why we’re excited to announce that TfL Cycle Sundays is back, offering Londoners and visitors to our city free bike travel every Sunday throughout July to encourage more Londoners and visitors to explore the capital. Cycling is not only brilliant for your physical and mental well-being, but it’s also a greener way to travel, helping to improve air quality.
