FlixBus adds two new Scottish stops, fares from £4.49

FlixBus is expanding its Scottish network with two new stops and additional daily services from November 23 2026, with tickets starting at £4.49.

The bright green coach operator will increase the number of services it provides for Aberdeen and Dundee, giving commuters more opportunities to travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh each day. For the first time, buses will also stop in Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes, with up to 16 departures from both towns each day.

More services for key Scottish routes

The expansion brings 20 daily services in each direction for Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Glasgow, and 18 between Aberdeen and Edinburgh. This means there will be 38 services every day between Aberdeen and Dundee.

FlixBus, known for its bright green coaches, is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year. The brand has grown steadily and now serves over 100 destinations across the UK.

Affordable travel with free onboard amenities

Shamil Maindiratta, managing director of FlixBus UK, said: "As part of our long-term strategy for growth in Scotland, we’re adding more destinations as well as services for Aberdeen, Perth and Dundee to Glasgow, and Edinburgh, with our trusted partner McGill’s."

"Together, we’re making affordable, reliable and sustainable long-distance travel available to even more residents and visitors to Scotland, with tickets for less than a fiver."

Tickets for these routes start at £4.49. Passengers with National Entitlement Cards can travel for free across the Scottish network, including under 22s with Young Scot Cards, those over 60 and disabled passengers.

Every FlixBus journey includes free Wi-Fi, charging points, and a guaranteed seat for every passenger. Luggage is included in the price of the ticket.

Tickets for the new stops and additional services will be available from November 23, and can be purchased from the FlixBus app or website.
