Firefighters have described a driver's escape as 'miraculous' after a horrific crash on the A45 in Birmingham left the front of the vehicle severely crumpled. The driver was able to walk away unharmed from the incident, which occurred on Sunday, November 13.
West Midlands Fire Service shared an image of the wreckage on social media as a warning to other motorists. Sheldon Fire station's Green watch, which attended the scene, posted on Twitter: 'Green watch responded to this RTC on the A45 tonight - miraculously no one was harmed but we advise all drivers to slow down when visibility’s poor on dark roads and especially when our emergency crews are working at incidents!'

Simon Rewell, road safety manager for the company, warned that darker days, ice, snow, and strong glare from winter sun create challenging conditions. He advised drivers, especially young and inexperienced ones, to take extra care and consider whether journeys are necessary.
