A 57-year-old man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a bus crash in Salford last year that tore the roof from a double decker vehicle.
Christopher Henry, of Thornhill Road, Tameside, faces three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a Bee Network bus collided with a bridge on Barton Lane, Eccles, on July 21, 2025. Emergency services, including an air ambulance and multiple paramedics, attended the scene shortly after 3pm.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the charges, stating that Henry has been bailed to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on September 15, 2026. The collision involved the bus striking a bridge, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle's roof.
