EasyJet launches 7 new routes from 5 UK airports

EasyJet has launched seven new routes from five UK airports, offering travellers more options for winter getaways and early 2027 holidays. The new services include flights from Liverpool to Reykjavík, Manchester to Nuremberg, Newcastle to Kraków and Marrakesh, London Southend to Belfast, and London Luton to Rabat.

New routes from Liverpool, Manchester, and Newcastle

EasyJet and Liverpool John Lennon Airport celebrated the launch of their first flight to Reykjavík, Iceland's capital, with a twice-weekly service operating every Monday and Friday throughout the winter. Fares start at around £25. Kevin Doyle, easyJet's UK Country Manager, said: 'We're really pleased to be celebrating the launch of our first flight from Liverpool to Reykjavik today, offering our customers in the North West even more choice for their winter holidays.' Paul Winfield, Liverpool John Lennon Airport's Aviation Director, added that it's 'fantastic to see' passengers from 'across the region have the opportunity to fly direct to Iceland.'

From Manchester, easyJet has reinstated a route to Nuremberg, Germany, which has not been available since 2019 through Ryanair. Flights run on Mondays and Fridays until early January 2027, with return fares from £64 per person. This makes Manchester the only UK airport outside London with a direct link to the city.

Newcastle has seen three new routes: to Kraków, Poland, with two-weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays (one-way fares from £25.99); to Marrakesh, Morocco, operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays (tickets from £22.99); and to Copenhagen, Denmark, launching on November 5, operating on Thursdays and Sundays. Since opening its base at Newcastle Airport in March, easyJet has quadrupled its Newcastle network, bringing the total number of routes to 31. Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development at Newcastle Airport, said: 'easyJet's continued growth, with 31 destinations now on sale since the opening of their base, underlines their strong commitment to both the Airport and wider North East region and we look forward to seeing these exciting new winter services take off later this year.'

New routes from London Southend and Luton

EasyJet's new year-round route from London Southend to Belfast departed for the first time on November 2 and operates three times a week on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays. Nigel Mayes, Business Development Director at London Southend Airport, said they were 'really pleased to welcome Belfast to our growing route network.' Kevin Doyle added that 'Belfast is a fantastic destination for both leisure and business travellers and, with convenient airports at both ends of the route, we're sure the new service will prove popular with customers travelling between the two regions.'

From London Luton, easyJet is launching twice-weekly services to Rabat, Morocco, starting tomorrow. Fares start as low as £21.99 one-way. Rabat was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012 under the official title 'Rabat, Modern Capital and Historic City: a Shared Heritage.'
