The District line was suspended early on Tuesday morning due to a faulty train, causing widespread disruption for commuters heading to work.
Transport for London (TfL) engineers were working to resolve the issue at Earls Court, where the faulty train was located.
Other lines affected
In addition to the District line suspension, several other services were experiencing delays, including the Victoria and Central lines, and the Docklands Light Railway (DLR).
The disruption affected thousands of passengers travelling across London during the morning rush hour.
Recovery efforts under way
TfL engineers were attempting to fix the fault and restore normal service as quickly as possible. Commuters were advised to check for updates before travelling.
