A South Carolina family has filed a federal lawsuit against Delta Air Lines after an employee allegedly used a lost iPad to record sexually explicit videos, which were then discovered by the child's parents via cloud storage. The incident occurred in July 2023 when the Brewer family forgot the device on a flight from Charleston to New York.
According to the lawsuit, the family tracked the iPad using Apple's Find My app and found that a man in Delta uniform had taken selfies with his name badge visible. Over a month later, pornographic videos of the same man appeared in the family's iCloud account, showing him masturbating in uniform. The man also allegedly accessed the family's Amazon account and created a profile titled 'Gay'.
The Brewers reported the issue to Delta twice but received only a generic response. Their attorney, Tola Familoni, stated that the family seeks to hold Delta accountable for negligence and emotional distress, and to prevent similar incidents. Delta has denied that the accused individual is a direct employee, claiming he works for a vendor company, but declined further comment due to pending litigation.
