Bus Smashes into Notting Hill House, No Injuries

A red single-decker bus crashed into a terrace house in Notting Hill, West London, on July 2, 2026, causing significant damage but no injuries. The bus smashed through a bay window at a home on St Quintin Avenue, becoming wedged into the building and blocking the pavement. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) confirmed that two cars were also damaged in the collision.

Emergency Response and Investigation

The LFB received a call at 7:12 pm and dispatched fire crews from North Kensington, Hammersmith, Chelsea, and Croydon. A paramedic in a fast response car attended the scene, but no injuries were reported. The Metropolitan Police stated that no criminal offences had been identified and no arrests were made. An inquiry into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

A neighbour described the impact as like an 'earthquake', according to the Telegraph. Emergency teams worked to remove the vehicle on St Quintin Avenue this morning, with debris littering the street.
