UK freight company BMB Logistics Ltd has entered administration, marking the latest collapse in the struggling haulage sector. The company appointed administrators on June 12, 2026, with a notice published in the London Gazette on June 18.
Company background and operations
Incorporated in January 2022, BMB Logistics Ltd was based in Tonbridge, Kent, and specialised in temperature-controlled logistics. The firm transported temperature-sensitive goods including pharmaceuticals, perishable foods, and biotechnology materials. Its fleet featured refrigeration units and insulated containers, with drivers trained to monitor and adjust temperatures throughout journeys.
The company also offered warehousing solutions with 12,000 square feet of chilled storage. BMB Logistics previously stated it adhered to the highest industry standards to maintain products within required temperature ranges.
Impact on jobs and sector
It remains unclear whether the administration will lead to job losses. The Road Haulage Association has previously estimated that hundreds of companies could be at risk in the sector.
BMB Logistics is the latest in a series of haulage firms to face difficulties in 2026. K2B Transportation Limited, a family-run business in the East Midlands, filed for liquidation on June 8. Sunhill Transport Limited, based in Shropshire, appointed administrators in May. ELI Group, an HGV training provider, entered liquidation at the end of May.
