British Airways has postponed its gradual return to the Middle East and suspended all flights to and from Dubai International Airport until Sunday, 25 October 2026, due to ongoing instability and airspace restrictions in the Gulf region amid the Iran-US conflict.
Other airlines also cancel flights
Air France, which planned to restart regional flights on July 20, has extended cancellations. Flights to Riyadh are suspended until July 24, Dubai flights resume on July 27, and Beirut flights are suspended until August 2. Singapore Airlines extended its suspension until October 24. KLM suspended flights to Riyadh, Dammam, and Dubai until August 23.
What passengers need to know
British Airways says on its website: “Due to ongoing uncertainty and airspace restrictions, some of our flights in the region have been cancelled or temporarily suspended, including services to and from Abu Dhabi, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Tel Aviv, and Riyadh.” The carrier is extending flexibility: customers booked to travel to or from these destinations up to 31 October 2026 can request a full refund, even if the flight is still scheduled to operate.
