The A30 in Cornwall has reopened 11 hours after a serious crash involving three vehicles, including a police car. The incident occurred near the Hayle Rugby Club and Loggans Moor roundabout at Hayle just before 8pm on Sunday, December 7.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that a police vehicle was involved alongside two other cars. A number of people sustained injuries and were treated by ambulance services, with three individuals, including two police officers, taken to hospital with serious injuries. The full extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The road was closed in both directions from the A3074 Nut Lane at St Erth roundabout to the B3301 Carwin Rise at Loggans Moor roundabout. Diversions were in place via the B3301 through Hayle, as advised by National Highways. Collision investigations commenced overnight, leading to the extended closure.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them via their website or by calling 101, quoting log 701 07/12/25. The road has since fully reopened.
