Wowcher has brought back its popular Christmas "mystery holiday" deal, and hundreds of shoppers are already snapping it up. For £99 per person, holidaymakers can pick their travel dates and then discover their surprise destination, with return flights and hotel accommodation included.
The deal could see you enjoying mulled wine in Vienna or soaking up the festive atmosphere in Paris under the Eiffel Tower. Other possible destinations include Rome, Lapland, Krakow, and more, with return flights from London or regional airports and a minimum three-star hotel stay in a private en-suite room.
What's included
The package includes return flights, minimum three-star hotel accommodation, a minimum two-night break (duration varies by destination), direct short-haul European flights (long-haul for selected Tier 1 destinations), and basic hand luggage. When departing from London or Manchester, you'll enjoy at least 40 hours at your destination, while other UK airports offer at least 36 hours, or 60 hours for selected three-night stays.
Destination tiers
Destinations are divided into three tiers. Tier 1 includes premium options like a three-night New York holiday, Lapland with a visit to Santa Village, Finland glass igloos, and a Switzerland & Italy Bernina Express trip. Tier 2 features two-night Iceland Northern Lights, Disneyland Paris, and multi-city breaks like Prague & Budapest or Amsterdam & Paris. Tier 3 offers a wide range of two-night city breaks across Europe, including Dublin, Lisbon, Paris, Berlin, Rome, and many more.
How it works
Shoppers purchase the mystery holiday and receive voucher codes plus a redemption link. They then redeem the voucher, select travel dates and airport region, and enter passenger details. The destination is revealed and secured for 24 hours, subject to availability. The holiday provider arranges flights and hotel, and the booking is confirmed.
Important information
The deal is based on two people sharing, with solo or group bookings potentially incurring extra charges. Destinations are allocated randomly within tiers, with limited availability in higher tiers; alternative destinations may be available for £20 per person. Flights may depart from any airport in the selected region, with a £40 per person supplement for non-London airports. Basic hand luggage is included, subject to airline restrictions. Christmas market dates are subject to change; if markets are cancelled, the holiday proceeds as a seasonal city break. Once the destination is revealed and booking confirmed, the holiday is non-refundable. Transfers, meals, travel insurance, checked baggage, and extras are not included. Passports must have at least six months validity, and customers are responsible for visas and travel regulations. The holiday is financially protected under the ATOL scheme.
