Man Visits Three Countries in One Day from UK Airport for Just £3

A travel-obsessed Brit has visited 86 countries from his local airport, with some trips costing as little as £3. Neil Loft, 44, from Bristol, is on a mission to fly to all 120 destinations served by Bristol Airport. He has already conquered 86 locations and even managed to visit three countries in a single day earlier this year.

In March, Neil visited Basel in Switzerland, St Louis in France, and Weil am Rhein in Germany all within 24 hours. He said: 'I did three countries in one singular day. It was quite straightforward really. Without even realising I had crossed the bridge and walked into a new country.' The entire excursion cost him just £3, thanks to travel passes handed out upon arrival in Basel.

Neil, who works as cabin crew, dedicates most of his spare time to travelling. He said: 'I am well on track to achieve all 120 destinations. I have only got a handful more to do.' He has seven more trips lined up for 2026 and believes others should try the three-country trip: 'Basel should be promoted more as a destination where you can access three countries in a short space of time.'

Neil left school at 16 to become a travel agent, later worked as a holiday representative, and has been cabin crew for over a decade. He said: 'All these skills that I have learned over the years have equipped me. I can get a flight to Malaga probably cheaper than a taxi or an Uber into Bristol city centre.'
