A popular seaside attraction in Cornwall is set to open seven days a week this summer, offering visitors the chance to race down what is claimed to be the world's biggest slip and slide. Giant Slip & Slide Cornwall, located near St Columb Major, features seven huge water slides spread across a sprawling green field.
World's largest slip and slide
The family-run attraction, which has been operating every summer for the past decade, is currently open on weekends but will switch to daily opening from July 22 through to the end of the summer season. Just a short drive from popular holiday hotspots Newquay and Padstow, the park offers visitors the chance to race down giant inflatable slides, take part in water pistol battles and enjoy a day out suitable for all ages.
Ticket prices and what's included
Tickets cost £14 per person, plus a booking fee, and include full access to the park along with the use of rings and bodyboards. Children under five can enter free of charge. Organisers recommend visitors wear wetsuits to protect against friction on the slides, although wetsuit hire is available from £3.50. Guests can wear any clothing suitable for getting wet, provided it does not contain hard zips.
All-weather fun
The attraction is designed to operate in all weather conditions, meaning visitors can enjoy the slides whether the Cornish sunshine appears or not. The park has built up a loyal following over the years, with many visitors praising it as a must-visit family attraction.
Visitor reviews
One reviewer said: "Such an amazing place with fantastic people. I would highly recommend a visit. It's great for the whole family and all ages." Another described it as their "favourite activity in Cornwall", while a third revealed they had visited twice in the same week because their children enjoyed it so much.
With the school summer holidays fast approaching, organisers are expecting another busy season as families look for affordable ways to stay entertained during the warmer months.
