Tui has updated its hand luggage policy, now permitting passengers to bring up to four items in the cabin. The change comes as the airline aligns with other carriers like Jet2, easyJet, and Ryanair, which also enforce strict rules on what can be taken on board.
Under the new guidelines, travellers can carry one main piece of hand luggage, a small personal item, a coat, and a duty-free shopping bag. However, all items must comply with size and weight restrictions, and liquids over 100ml remain banned unless for medical or dietary needs.
Prohibited items include knives, scissors with blades over 6cm, corkscrews, fireworks, and sports equipment like cricket bats and golf clubs. Tools such as saws, screwdrivers, and hammers are also forbidden in the cabin.
Passengers are advised to check with Tui before travelling if they are unsure about specific items. The airline stresses that any banned items found in hand luggage will be confiscated at security.
