Soccer Aid returns tonight for its 20th anniversary, with England taking on the World XI at the London Stadium. The annual charity match, founded by Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes in 2006, has raised over £120 million for UNICEF UK.
This year's match kicks off an hour earlier than recent editions, with live coverage on ITV1 starting at 5.30pm. Presenters Alex Scott and Dermot O'Leary will front the broadcast, and fans can also watch live and free via ITVX and ITV's YouTube channel.
England's squad includes football legends Wayne Rooney, Jill Scott, Joe Hart, Theo Walcott, Jermain Defoe, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Jack Wilshere. They are joined by celebrities Tom Hiddleston, Danny Dyer, Jack Whitehall, Sam Thompson, Olly Murs, Angry Ginge and former England rugby international Joe Marler. Notably, Adolescence star Owen Cooper, aged 16, becomes the youngest player ever to feature in Soccer Aid.
The World XI boasts former Premier League stars Nemanja Matic, Michael Essien, Dimitar Berbatov, Lukas Podolski, Leonardo Bonucci, Jordi Alba, Tim Cahill and Edwin van der Sar. Celebrities including Chris O'Dowd, Dermot Kennedy, Simon Neil, Nicky Byrne, Behzinga and Maisie Adam also feature. Usain Bolt will coach the World XI, while Robbie Williams manages England.
Other notable participants across both squads include GK Barry, Chloe Burrows, Frankie Dettori, Tom Grennan, Steph Houghton, Toni Duggan, Damson Idris, Jordan North, Molly McCann, Jade Moore, Richard Gadd and Gladiators star Nitro. Harry Redknapp, David Seaman, Clarence Seedorf, Bradley Walsh and Judi Love are among those involved on the touchline.
