Slick City Action Park, which became Europe's first standalone indoor slide park when it opened in Nottingham earlier this year, is expanding with a second UK location in Liverpool. The new site brings the neon-lit adventure playground closer to Manchester.
The company already operates or has in development 95 sites across America, and the Liverpool venue will be its second in the UK. The announcement was made on social media, with the company saying: "Liverpool, we're sliding your way. You saw that right… Slick City is coming to Liverpool!"
What to expect at the new site
The company has not yet revealed the location of the Liverpool site or an exact opening date, but families have already shown interest. "Wow, looks ace," said one social media user, with another commenting: "We need to take the kids here."
Nottingham's Slick City Action Park opened in March in a large unit just outside the city centre, transforming the space into a neon-lit adventure playground with brightly coloured slides, a soft play area, a cafe and a party area.
Slides and attractions
The Nottingham park features 16 slides with twists and tunnels, including the world's first UV AirGlider, a gravity-powered ride that gives the sensation of flying. The signature slide, Mega Launch, delivers a heart-dropping experience, while the Fast Lane is a high-speed four-lane slide for racing friends to the bottom. The Royal Flush offers a steep drop before spinning in a massive bowl.
Other slides include Python, which twists and turns like a giant snake; Cowabunga, full of bounces and bumps; and Zig Zag, which cuts left and right at lightning speed. Under threes have their own Jungle Gym, a soft play zone with mini slides and climbing obstacles, and there are cages with springy air-cushioned floors for basketball and football.
Booking and details
Details for the Liverpool site have yet to be revealed, but in Nottingham the minimum age is four with no upper age limit, and adult-only nights are held once a month. Tickets are available for 90 minutes or two hours of action, priced between £19.95 and £24.95 per person, and children under 12 require adult supervision.
