Eurocamp is launching a new flagship resort on Italy's Adriatic coast, offering family breaks from just £319, significantly undercutting the cost of a comparable stay at Center Parcs. The Hu Eraclea Mare resort, opening in May 2027, will feature a nine-hectare water park with six pools, including Olympic and semi-Olympic options, lagoons, waterslides, and a vast solarium.
Affordable Family Holidays Abroad
While the UK offers many staycation options, unpredictable weather often drives families to all-weather resorts like Center Parcs, which come with higher price tags. Eurocamp operates over 400 holiday parks across Europe, easily accessible from the UK, and provides modern, relaxed experiences with comfortable accommodation, on-site dining, pools, and activities for all ages. Even after factoring in ferry costs, a Eurocamp holiday can cost around half as much as a similar UK break.
Hu Eraclea Mare: A New Flagship Resort
The new resort, located near Venice on the Spiaggia Pannolenci beach, covers over 100 hectares and boasts a 40,000-square-metre solarium. Bookings are open from May 1, 2027, with prices starting at £319 for a lodge sleeping 4-6 people. The resort will feature 30 food and drink outlets, including Italian and Venetian restaurants, bars, and gelato shops, plus a 1,500-seat outdoor theatre for evening entertainment.
Activities include a tree experience course, zip line, mini golf, paintball, and various sports. The beach offers calm, shallow waters, and shaded woodland trails lead to the nearby town of Eraclea Mare. Venice is just 40 minutes away by car, with regular boat services to Piazza San Marco.
Comparing Costs: Eurocamp vs. Center Parcs
A week at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest in May ranges from £750 to over £2,500, depending on lodge size and booking time. In contrast, Eurocamp's Hu Eraclea Mare offers a budget-friendly alternative with extensive facilities.
Existing Adriatic options include the 4-star Holiday Center Pra' Delle Torri, with camping, mobile homes, and a waterpark, and the Park Hotel Pineta in Eraclea Mare, set on a private sandy beach.
Guest Reviews of Eurocamp Parks
Eurocamp parks receive positive feedback on Tripadvisor. One guest at La Croix du Vieux Pont said: "Couldn't fault the campsite at all. It has everything you need, excellent pool facilities, parks for the children and a variety of other activities." Another added: "Glorious place that's perfect for the whole family." However, a visitor to Bella Italia noted: "Pool was really cold and not really usable. Staff in restaurants and shops were not helpful." At Domaine des Ormes in Brittany, guests praised the indoor wave pool and climbing forest.
With its beachfront setting, extensive facilities, and easy access to Venice, Hu Eraclea Mare is set to become one of Eurocamp's most ambitious resorts, offering families a cost-effective alternative to UK breaks.
