Naples: A Budget-Friendly Italian Gem
The cost of a holiday seems to creep up every year. From flights to accommodation, trying to get away for a break can really put a strain on your wallet — and that’s all before you even get where you’re going. However, there is one Italian city where you can at least enjoy one of the world’s most popular cocktails for less than a cup of coffee in the UK. The Aperol Spritz has become a symbol of the European summer holiday. Its bright orange colour and signature bitter taste is beloved by many, and in this Italian city, you can sip on a delicious Aperol for just £1.70.
Naples: The Cheapest Destination for Aperol Spritz
Eurochange’s research found Naples is the best destination to visit if you love Aperol Spritz, but don’t want to splash the cash on an expensive cocktail. With an average cost of just £1.73 (€2.00), you can happily sip on Aperol Spritz while enjoying everything else Naples has to offer. Naples is famous for having some of the best pizza in the world, as well as some truly amazing scenery.
What to Explore in Naples
The city buzzes with life, and its cobbled streets are packed with locals and tourists enjoying the nightlife as scooters zip past. Down by the harbour you can look out across the ocean and enjoy the sea breeze - or even book a ferry over to the stunning island of Capri for a day. In the city you can wander up the narrow streets past stalls selling freshly caught seafood, and hole in the wall cafes to get to Castel Sant'Elmo.
Castel Sant'Elmo: Panoramic Views
This fortress sits atop the city and looks out over the tangled city lying below. The views are 360 degrees, encompassing the azure blue ocean, the towering Mount Vesuvius and the entirety of the city. It makes for the perfect afternoon trip — and once you've soaked in the sights you can head back for another dirt-cheap Aperol Spritz.

That’s why we wanted to help travellers by researching where you can find some of the best and cheapest Aperol Spritz. You might be surprised that many of them are in the home country of the drink itself!”
