A 35-year-old man has been arrested in San Jose, California, after a hidden camera was discovered in a Starbucks bathroom. The camera, found by an employee under the sink on January 31, allegedly recorded over 90 victims, including a child as young as four.
Police identified the suspect as Louie Juarez Jr., describing him as a 'violent predator'. The recordings were made between 9am and 7pm on January 30 at a Starbucks on Coleman Avenue. Victims ranged in age from four to 85.
Authorities are investigating whether Juarez posted the footage online or had previously installed cameras elsewhere. During his arrest, police seized additional micro cameras, 20 firearms including an assault rifle, and high-capacity magazines.
Starbucks called the incident 'deeply disturbing' and said it is cooperating with law enforcement. Juarez faces charges including possession of child pornography and installation of a hidden surveillance camera.
